The Girl Who Sat On The Street Of Malone

She silently sits alone,

On the street of Malone

With the cold breeze running through her hair and the raindrops on her skin

She wonders about the world she lives in,

The unnecessary drama and the constant worrying

She thinks about her past she will ever be burying.

She thinks about the people she’s met so far,

And the one who in a few months became her star.

An artist by profession, but a lover by choice,

He played with colors like a child playing with his toys.

Everything then seemed so magical and true,

Pictures of her were all he drew.

All day long, merry was all they made,

She knew he was the one; He would never fade.

He was the one who captured her heart,

Cupid without missing had hit his dart.

Time might take away those moments, but she knew memories will always bring them back,

Love was never a thing any of the two lacked.

But soon things turned bitter between the two,

Everything started to seem to blue.

All she wanted was her Prince Charming and happy ending,

But only she knew what impact on her life had this game of heart lending.

She wanted to run away from this misery and sorrow,

But she had nothing; nobody who would let her borrow.

To escape, she sat on a train unknown,

She had no money and she had no phone.

Depressed and disappointed, sat she,

Thinking if she from his clutches was free.

But only she knew how she missed him,

Remembering the good times when he made her grin.

The train took her from valleys to mountains,

She only wished she had never put that coin in that magic love fountain.

She never imagined a day would come when she would be nothing but a loner,

Everyone started calling her a groaner and a moaner.

She still sat in the train, waiting for this despair to end

But there was no way her heart would mend.

She didn’t write to him, nor did he,

She suddenly remembered how he etched their names forever in the bark of that huge oak tree.

She started to figure whatever he said was nothing but a lie,

And each day, slowly, a little she would die.

She wondered if there was anything to him she meant,

But now she knew her heart had a dent.

So with moist eyes and a little hope in her heart,

She looks at his paintings, she looks at his art.

He was everything she wanted, but he was not hers anymore,

He left her broken, her heart he tore.

She cursed herself and wondered if she had any fault or was it just her fate.

She was still trying but she was sick of the wait.

So she still silently sits alone,

On the street of Malone

With the cold breeze running through her hair and the raindrops on her skin

She wonders about the world she lives in,

The unnecessary drama and the constant worrying

She thinks about her past she will ever be burying.

England Diaries.

I have been thinking about what to write for my blog since the last post and well here I am, sitting in my bed, totally jet-lagged and sleep-deprived writing my blog and getting distracted by the Facebook tab each time I see a notification.

Okay so to start with ENGLAND WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. London,The weather, the rain, the shops, Regent Street, Bond Street, Ireland, Newcastle. Every little thing. :)

I love airplanes. I love to fly. You may call me weird but anyway. I love watching Gossip Girl in the plane. Even though I hate the flight food no matter how good it is, I love everything else so it does not matter.
At the airport, you see so many different type of people- youngsters travelling alone, people who have never travelled abroad and are super-duper excited to sit in the plane, the 'just-married' couples, the corporate people busy with their BlackBerry's and Macbooks, and well Indian families. Mostly 2 kids, screaming and howling :P
So well my flight from Delhi to Dubai was good but the next flight, i.e from Dubai to London was horrid. Sitting behind a woman who had 2 kids outside [aged, 2 and 5] and one inside was ought to be terrible. :P Throughout the flight the kids were crying and screaming and irritating other people. :| And after every 2 minutes that lady would get up and take out something from her bag to feed to her kids. And well, she ruined it all :P But I managed to watch 7 movies on one flight despite all the disturbance caused.

So yeah the flight landed, here I was, amazed, in London, the fashion capital of the world. We collected our stuff and went to the hotel straight. By the time we reached and relaxed for a while, it was dinner time. And we went out walking, and there it was, a Sainsbury's and Marks and Spencer- Simply Food just across the street, and Pret 10 minutes walking. YES, THIS IS THE ADVANTAGE OF LIVING IN GREEN PARK .:)

Then the next day, the Big Bus tour. With 3 walking tours- the changing of the guard, the Harry Potter Walk and the Haunted Areas of London. All the three were amazing :)

Then was the trip to Greenwich, and the next day Madame Tussauds and the London Eye, then the most awaited, WIMBLEDON. It feels so nice to be where your idols have played. It is the best feeling, ever. :)

Then Old Trafford. :D The theatre of Dreams . Amazing. Simply amazing. :) No words.

And then was Ireland, NewCastle, The Lake Districts and Edinburgh. All of them - beautiful places. :) Espically Ireland, the best place to unwind. I had the time of my life. I would love to go back again and experience all of it.

Time flies, and sometimes, I hate the fact that it does. These 20 days flew within the blink of an eye. And here I was, bags packed, all set to go back to India, disappointed, thinking about how it seems that it was only yesterday that I landed, and it was time to go back. .

The flight from Newcastle to Delhi was one crazy flight. First of all, this Japanase woman had a lot of hand luggage and was asked to pay about 300 pounds, she broke down, cried and created a scene. Next was this man who got drunk and got abusive and started shouting at people, even thge cabin crew. As soon as the flight landed, we all were asked to sit down and 4 officers came and took him away to the police station. Quite some entertainment, eh? :P
The Dubai airport is amazing. Hhahah ;)
And it is time to board the flight, I am going to India, I am going home. I will be there in 2 hours and 51 minutes and it was finally sinking in.

And bang..the flight lands on the IGI airport and I was back to Delhi, I was back home, in this hot weather, all sweaty and sticky. And here I am in Chandigarh, in my room, sitting on Facebook and writing my blog and looking at the pictures. Fond memories, I think and then sigh.

And it strikes me no matter how amazing this journey has been, this is home , the place i love and this is where I belong. Always have, always will.

Adios! :)

The power of you.

You've been loved.

You've been taken care of.

You've been told that you mean the world to someone.

Your wounds have been taken care of.

Your tears have been dried.

After all the pain, embarrassment, you emerged as a hero.

And.

You have been told that you're useless.

You've been broken.

You've failed miserably .

Everyone's tried their best to make you look wrong.

You've been blamed for all the destruction.

You've been accused of being clingy.

You've been accused of being obsessed.

You've been told that you're a pain.

But no matter what life threw your way, YOU FOUGHT. You fought until the very end. And,

you won. You showed life what you're worth. You showed life what you're made of. You

achieved your dreams And you said.." You didn't break me. You never will. We fought..and you

failed, I won"

...Faith.

Miracles...are they for real?
Or is it just the movies? The mythological stories?

My mum says it's all about faith. If you have faith in God, for you, he exists. If you have faith in miracles, they do happen.

So if you want to see a miracle, just stand in front of a mirror and look at yourself. YOU ARE A MIRACLE.
You have been through the darkest days.
You've lived like there's no tomorrow.
You try until you succeed.
You lend your shoulder to a crying friend.
You're a source of inspiration to many.
You're an encouraging word to someone who's lost all hope.
You have to potential to do anything and everything.
You emerge as an hero out of the darkness.
You shine.
You are..you, just you.
You don't pretend to be anyone.
You're strong enough to let go and lead a happy life.
You're happy by your own.
You smile. You sob. You laugh. You cry. You scream. You shout. You fall down. You get up back again.

It is all about faith. Have faith in yourself, cuz if you will not, who will? Keep your head held high and your chin up and take each day as it comes. Believe that all of us have our happy ending, believe in fiarytales, believe in happiness. But most of all, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.

Love. Hope. Spread Joy. Have Faith. Believe. LIVE.

To the woman I owe it all.

Some people come, some people leave, by you stayed forever mum.I don't know why I'm writing this, maybe 'cause I love you a bit too muchSo, you're the most wonderful person I've ever come across, and I don't think you're ever going to be replaced. I know I've let you down a million times, but you know I will always love you and someday, I will make you proud. The you can be proud and tell everyone 'That's my girl' You've seen me at my worst, and you still have faith in me, you still believe in me. You've always been there like a pillar of everlasting support, and I know you always will. After all the screaming, tears, arguments, fights, troubles, sobs, tantrums, shouts, stamping feet…it's you who's been there for me, through all walks of life. You're the most caring/loveable mother. I look up to you and think you're adorable with all the other qualities you possess. You're and inspiration to me. You've been the best mother along with being the person with whom I'm the closest to in life. You're above awesome. You're such a charm in my life. And I know I don't need to say it. I don't know what I would have done without you. You are one person who actually understands me, my point of view on everything, my way of living life; YOU'RE ONE OF THE FEW PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY GET ME. You've been a shoulder to cry on when times were rough. An encouraging word when i lost all hope. An ear to listen to my aspirations and dreams. But most of all, you accepted me the way I am, you never judged me, you never cared if i was 'cool', you never cared how i looked, you believed in me, supported me through all hurdles of life. I started my life in your hands, and my world ends at you.At times you might think you don't mean as much to me like you did earlier, you might think my friends are more important for me, but the truth is -you'll always be my number one friend and my wonder woman. And no matter where this life takes me, no matter what I do, irrespective of the people i am with, no one or nothing can ever change what you mean to me. My longing comes alive in you. Just always be the way you are cuz you're perfect. Thank you for everything. So now this is needless to say, I LOVE YOU. ALWAYS HAVE, ALWAYS WILL. Happy mother's day mum, you're my world.

THE END. xD

Okay so my dad came to pick me up from school and he told be that Osama Bin Laden was no more. He was shot dead by the American commandos. We don't celebrate deaths, we mourn, we cry, we wish for them to come back, but this time, it was different. Everyone was rejoicing his death. Everyone was happy, so relieved. And so was I. It's not good to be happy over someone's death because no matter who it is, whether good or bad, some family is broken, But then he was a heartless man who left thousands of families devastated after the 9/11 attacks. So many children became orphans, so many women widows and so many men widowers. I've always said no matter what you do, how much effort you put in trying to escape, in the end, You will get what you truly deserve. Justice delayed is not justice denied. After almost 10 years, USA has proven why they are called the Superpower. And finally, the world's most wanted mass murderer has been caught and shot dead. The devil who was behind shattering thousands of people was now no more.
That man was not only an embarrassment to his community, but also his country, who refused to take his body. That man has given so much misery and well he got all of it back. He had to, one day.
When this news broke, I'm sure every American citizen felt justice was met. They felt a sense of victory. The wounds of the 9/11 attacks are still fresh. People haven't forgotten it, they never will. There is as much as hatred and agony as there was then. But now, people have taken their revenge.
Yesterday has been a VERY significant day in history. Obama has become Superman overnight. :P
Cheers to Obama. Cheers to 2nd May. Cheers to Humanity. :)

Cricket- More Of a Religion

In a country like our's, you can not like cricket, hate it even, or love it, you simply can't ignore it. You just cannot. Before this World Cup, even I didn't like cricket much. I hated it as a matter of fact. I only watched the Semi-finals and Finals, and that too because it was my country playing. I never thought cricket could be so interesting. I was literally hooked to the TV screen at the time of both the matches. I screamed my lungs out and went on the roads when India won. Every Indian did. :DBut coming to the point, I feel only cricket is given importance and no other sport. It's like Cricket is religion and all other sports, well just sports. Every single Indian- from the most high profile people to the people living in slums, all of them watch cricket, they know the players. And out national game, hockey? Do they even know who the caption of the Indian Hockey team is? I don't think so. I personally feel that cricket is given a lot of importance while the other sports are neglected. When the Hockey World Cup was going on, did anyone even bother to switch on their TV's and watch India play while when the ICC was on, everyone was glued to their TV screens, even people had taken half day off's from their offices. It's not like I'm against cricket or something, but I just think it's given undue importance. People have become SO obsessed with cricket that their moods and health also depend on the game. I recently read an article which said that there have been people who had heart attacks and died because their country lost a match, and some people committed suicide because of the same reason. It's okay to like a game and follow the matches, but I don't think too much of obsession is right. I mean should we let a game control our health and our moods? No, right? I want the people to recognize other sports as well and acknowledge the players who excel in them as well. and please, I do not say stop following cricket or anything, just give the other sports the importance they deserve.
Okay so this is enough for this post.i'll return with something new soon!Until then, Ciao ! :D
