The Girl Who Sat On The Street Of Malone

She silently sits alone,

On the street of Malone

With the cold breeze running through her hair and the raindrops on her skin

She wonders about the world she lives in,

The unnecessary drama and the constant worrying

She thinks about her past she will ever be burying.

She thinks about the people she’s met so far,

And the one who in a few months became her star.

An artist by profession, but a lover by choice,

He played with colors like a child playing with his toys.

Everything then seemed so magical and true,

Pictures of her were all he drew.

All day long, merry was all they made,

She knew he was the one; He would never fade.

He was the one who captured her heart,

Cupid without missing had hit his dart.

Time might take away those moments, but she knew memories will always bring them back,

Love was never a thing any of the two lacked.

But soon things turned bitter between the two,

Everything started to seem to blue.

All she wanted was her Prince Charming and happy ending,

But only she knew what impact on her life had this game of heart lending.

She wanted to run away from this misery and sorrow,

But she had nothing; nobody who would let her borrow.

To escape, she sat on a train unknown,

She had no money and she had no phone.

Depressed and disappointed, sat she,

Thinking if she from his clutches was free.

But only she knew how she missed him,

Remembering the good times when he made her grin.

The train took her from valleys to mountains,

She only wished she had never put that coin in that magic love fountain.

She never imagined a day would come when she would be nothing but a loner,

Everyone started calling her a groaner and a moaner.

She still sat in the train, waiting for this despair to end

But there was no way her heart would mend.

She didn’t write to him, nor did he,

She suddenly remembered how he etched their names forever in the bark of that huge oak tree.

She started to figure whatever he said was nothing but a lie,

And each day, slowly, a little she would die.

She wondered if there was anything to him she meant,

But now she knew her heart had a dent.

So with moist eyes and a little hope in her heart,

She looks at his paintings, she looks at his art.

He was everything she wanted, but he was not hers anymore,

He left her broken, her heart he tore.

She cursed herself and wondered if she had any fault or was it just her fate.

She was still trying but she was sick of the wait.

So she still silently sits alone,

On the street of Malone

With the cold breeze running through her hair and the raindrops on her skin

She wonders about the world she lives in,

The unnecessary drama and the constant worrying

She thinks about her past she will ever be burying.

England Diaries.

I have been thinking about what to write for my blog since the last post and well here I am, sitting in my bed, totally jet-lagged and sleep-deprived writing my blog and getting distracted by the Facebook tab each time I see a notification.

Okay so to start with ENGLAND WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. London,The weather, the rain, the shops, Regent Street, Bond Street, Ireland, Newcastle. Every little thing. :)

I love airplanes. I love to fly. You may call me weird but anyway. I love watching Gossip Girl in the plane. Even though I hate the flight food no matter how good it is, I love everything else so it does not matter.
At the airport, you see so many different type of people- youngsters travelling alone, people who have never travelled abroad and are super-duper excited to sit in the plane, the 'just-married' couples, the corporate people busy with their BlackBerry's and Macbooks, and well Indian families. Mostly 2 kids, screaming and howling :P
So well my flight from Delhi to Dubai was good but the next flight, i.e from Dubai to London was horrid. Sitting behind a woman who had 2 kids outside [aged, 2 and 5] and one inside was ought to be terrible. :P Throughout the flight the kids were crying and screaming and irritating other people. :| And after every 2 minutes that lady would get up and take out something from her bag to feed to her kids. And well, she ruined it all :P But I managed to watch 7 movies on one flight despite all the disturbance caused.

So yeah the flight landed, here I was, amazed, in London, the fashion capital of the world. We collected our stuff and went to the hotel straight. By the time we reached and relaxed for a while, it was dinner time. And we went out walking, and there it was, a Sainsbury's and Marks and Spencer- Simply Food just across the street, and Pret 10 minutes walking. YES, THIS IS THE ADVANTAGE OF LIVING IN GREEN PARK .:)

Then the next day, the Big Bus tour. With 3 walking tours- the changing of the guard, the Harry Potter Walk and the Haunted Areas of London. All the three were amazing :)

Then was the trip to Greenwich, and the next day Madame Tussauds and the London Eye, then the most awaited, WIMBLEDON. It feels so nice to be where your idols have played. It is the best feeling, ever. :)

Then Old Trafford. :D The theatre of Dreams . Amazing. Simply amazing. :) No words.

And then was Ireland, NewCastle, The Lake Districts and Edinburgh. All of them - beautiful places. :) Espically Ireland, the best place to unwind. I had the time of my life. I would love to go back again and experience all of it.

Time flies, and sometimes, I hate the fact that it does. These 20 days flew within the blink of an eye. And here I was, bags packed, all set to go back to India, disappointed, thinking about how it seems that it was only yesterday that I landed, and it was time to go back. .

The flight from Newcastle to Delhi was one crazy flight. First of all, this Japanase woman had a lot of hand luggage and was asked to pay about 300 pounds, she broke down, cried and created a scene. Next was this man who got drunk and got abusive and started shouting at people, even thge cabin crew. As soon as the flight landed, we all were asked to sit down and 4 officers came and took him away to the police station. Quite some entertainment, eh? :P
The Dubai airport is amazing. Hhahah ;)
And it is time to board the flight, I am going to India, I am going home. I will be there in 2 hours and 51 minutes and it was finally sinking in.

And bang..the flight lands on the IGI airport and I was back to Delhi, I was back home, in this hot weather, all sweaty and sticky. And here I am in Chandigarh, in my room, sitting on Facebook and writing my blog and looking at the pictures. Fond memories, I think and then sigh.

And it strikes me no matter how amazing this journey has been, this is home , the place i love and this is where I belong. Always have, always will.

Adios! :)
